Long Lace Tank
This incredible soft and floaty fabric comes from a 1956 wedding dress. (I think, but cannot promise, that it is silk. I know it is a natural fiber. Beyond that I simply can’t be certain.) Carefully taking the skirt apart, I was able to make two long swishy tanks with deep side slits—perfect for layering. I’m showing the tank over a simple white tank and natural colored skirt. The bias binding on the inside is an incredibly soft cotton lawn that I dyed with coreopsis to a pale peach.

Machine wash cool. Tumble dry low, or hang to dry.
